The Feinstein International Center at Tufts University is recruiting for the position of Assistant Researcher for the Humanitarian Need Analysis Support Project, focusing on research design and analysis (including survey design), data cleaning, statistical analysis, field surveying and training development. The position will also support the forthcoming 2011 conference of the International Humanitarian Studies Association, to be held at Tufts.  

The position is designed to provide research and operational support and will be based in Medford, MA, USA and may include some international travel. Appropriate research skills including quantitative research skills will be essential, as well as the ability to interact with donor agencies, research partners and field partners. A background in humanitarian field work would be helpful. Candidates must have a Masters degree in international relations or social sciences, a minimum of 3 months field experience and excellent written and oral communication skills.

The funding for this full-time position is for one year, with a possible part-time position in year two.
