Update - March 13 2009
The PiL has advanced as follows:
- A detailed briefing was provided to the Parliamentary Inquiry into Immigration Detention in Australia in February with follow up submissions in writing, all of which are available on its web site and cross links can be created.
- A comprehensive ethics of borders is nearing completion providing a draft set of ethical guidelines to deal with PiLs - see attached.
- A number of comparative charts have been prepared by Lavinia and these could be set up as links - see attached - and enormous thanks have to be extended to Lavinia for her excellent work.
- A draft bibliography is in place that needs some more work and it could be placed on the website - see attached.
