Awarded for the project European Port Cities: disadvantaged urban areas in transition, a collaborative research with the University of Hamburg, Germany, University of Dublin, Ireland, University of Macedonia, Thessalonica, Greece, and University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, as well as several NGO partners. (Total project funding received for year 2004 is €147,147.37, funding available for each academic partner for year 2004/05 is approximately €18,500; the grant is administered through the University of Hamburg).
